Introduction

The Deanship of Accreditation, Quality, and Information at Middle East University (MEU) is an independent administrative entity. It was founded in 2018/2019 after careful consideration of many local, Arab, and international academic institutions’ objectives for quality and academic accreditation. The effort was exerted in response to the University’s keenness on elevating the quality of performance, as well as academic and administrative achievement in various fields. The University’s administration established the Accreditation and Quality Department upon the Board of Trustees’ decision no. (02/2011-2012). Afterwards, the Quality Assurance Office was founded upon the Board of Trustees’ decision no. (7/2013-2016), on the 19th of August, 2014. As a result of the University’s acquirement of the Quality Assurance Certificate (Golden Standard) from the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions in terms of educational institutions and academic programmes for the Faculty of Law, the establishment of a deanship was necessitated in order to attain national and international accreditations and rankings, which will in turn embellish the University’s academic reputation.
