AMMAN - KPMG Jordan and MEU will hold tomorrow, Wednesday 25th October 2017, a competition for excellence in accounting. The competition aims at developing students’ skills in accounting standards and auditing to prepare them to enter the labor market. The event will be attended by MEU Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, KPMG Jordan Managing Partner Hatem Kawasmy and MEU Vice President Talal Aburji. 17 teams from several Jordanian universities will participate in this competition.
The opening ceremony will include speeches to be delivered by Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin and Mr. Hatem Kawasmy. It will also feature competitions and awards in addition to artistic performance performed by the Chorus of the University. KPMG Jordan is one of the largest and leading companies in the world that provide audit, tax and financial services.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
