AMMAN- The Middle East University (MEU) and the Royal Jordanian National Defense College (RJNDC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance research and academic cooperation between the two sides. According to the MoU, the two sides will exchange faculty members, provide joined lectures according to the specialty, hold joint conferences, symposiums and workshops, and use electronic references available at MEU’s library.
Both sides have also agreed on holding curricular and extracurricular activities that could serve the community and represent the concept of social responsibility in all its aspects. The memo was signed at MEU in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at MEU Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, Commandant of the Royal Jordanian National Defense College, Staff Brigadier General Mohammad Muhairat, several members of MEU, in addition to a number of senior officers and officials at the RJNDC.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
