AMMAN- MEU is holding today the Global Entrepreneurship Week, GEW, to celebrate innovation, imagination and creativity of young people. The Global Entrepreneurship week, which is organized by Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship, aims at enhancing the culture of entrepreneurship among young people, in particular, and the whole community, in general, in addition to spreading awareness regarding its role in supporting economy.
In this regard, MEU’s Dean of Student Affairs Deanship, Dr. Saleem Sharif, said that this year, the GEW is distinguished by the series of activities and events that focus on requirements to boost entrepreneurship. He noted the role played by MEU in the field of community service and its role in creating motivating environment for learning and scientific research. The GEW events will include workshops and sessions to encourage students to apply for scholarships and participate in students exchange programs, awareness sessions to renounce violence and extremism, specialized lectures to be delivered by INJAZ and I Participate Institution in addition to other activities.

The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
