AMMAN- MEU and Mutah University have signed a joint collaborative agreement to enhance research and academic collaboration between the two sides. The agreement was signed by the University President, Prof. Mohamed Al-Haila, and Mutah University President, Prof. Dhafer Al-Sarayrah, in the presence of Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin.
The two sides agreed to exchange faculty members to share their experiences, provide joint lectures according to specializations, exchange information and experiences in the field of scientific research, hold joint conferences, seminars and workshops. The agreement also incorporated offering a seat at Mutah University in Ph.D. programs to students of Middle East University in political science and private law disciplines.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
