Amman- MEU has announced the implementation of a joint pioneering project with Madaba Municipality in support of the city on the map of global innovation. This came during a meeting between the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Community Services, Dr. Sana Shikwara, and the Mayor of Madaba Governorate, Eng. Ahmed Al-Azaydeh, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Mohamed Al-Heila, and the Vice-President for Humanitarian Faculties, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Wadi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways of joint cooperation to implement an innovative project that supports Madaba Governorate in the UNESCO creative cities network in the category of handicrafts.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
