AMMAN- MEU and Jordan Tourism Board have conducted a collaborative agreement to enhance scientific and cultural cooperation between MEU’s Tourism Management Department/ Faculty of Business and the Board. The agreement was signed by the General Manager of Jordan Tourism Board, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, and the University President, Prof. Mohammad Al-Heila, in the presence of Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees/ President of Arabic Network for Promoting Intra Tourism, Dr. Sana Sheqwara, and Vice President, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Wadi.
Both sides agreed on several issues, including developing accredited curricula at MEU’s Tourism Management Department, delivering joint lectures, supporting students’ field-training, exchanging expertise, and holding joint seminars and workshops.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
