Amman - Middle East University and the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) signed a partnership of cooperation on Wednesday. According to this partnership, Petra will train students from Middle East University in various media and press fields. The cooperation program was signed by the Vice President of Middle East University Dr. Mahmoud Al-Wadi, and the Director General of Petra Agency Dr. Mohammed Al-Omari.
Dr. Al-Wadi said during the meeting that the University is always keen to promote participation and openness with all national institutions to achieve social responsibility towards society and its members. In his turn, Al-Omari expressed his happiness with this cooperation. He stressed that Petra is the clear voice of all Jordanians and it seeks to present honest and professional media message.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
