Amman- Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Secretary-General of the Arab Universities Governance Council, Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, welcomed the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Mary Kawar, in his office.
The meeting took place in the light of the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation’s patronage of the Local Economic Development Strategic Plan of the Greater Municipality of Madaba’s (2019-2021) launching ceremony, which was commenced from MEU’s campus. During the meeting attended by the President of the University, Dr. Mohammad Al Hileh, Dr. Nasereddin reviewed MEU’s future plans and its role in communicating with the various institutions of Jordan.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Middle East University confirmed that the University is a national academic institution following a national road-map in order to execute the envisions of His Majesty, King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, through its cooperation with local institution to implement cultural programmes that serve citizens and achieve the country’s best interest.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
