Amman- The first edition of a book titled Training Governance was published. It is one of Middle East University’s publications, and was written by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the University and the Secretary-General of Arab Universities Governance Council, Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin. The publication consists of five chapters reviewing the founding of governance; its development, facets, approaches, and areas of effect. It also tackles the importance of training, and the need to govern training institutions in the Arab world. The book stresses, as well, the need for providing training institutions with all that is required to fulfill the demands of growing institutions in order to enhance their performance, and ensure the quality of their outcomes through continuous training processes.
Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin stated in the book’s preface that his idea emerged as a result of the Twelfth Meeting for Training and Expedition Officials in Arab countries, which was held in Arab Administrative Development Organization’s headquarters in Cairo, during the month of December, 2016. Dr. Nasereddin participated in the meeting as the Secretary-General of Arab Universities Governance Council.
The Secretary-General added in the book’s introduction that the purpose of any training process should be the infliction of positive effect on the trainee, institution, and community. In order to achieve that quest, the governance of the process’s fundamental elements is mandatory; including incomes, processes, and outcomes. Without neglecting, as well, the legalization, establishment, and globalization, that guarantees the continuity of training processes. Therefore, the book represents a guide to an outright system for the training process and its quality assurance.
The publication is a reference for researchers interested in governance, as a whole, and training, in specific. It also assists members of teaching staff and those specializing in general management and planning majors, in addition to Business Administration.
Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin holds a PhD in Business Administration, and he is the Chairman of YAN Investment Group and the Board of Trustees at Middle East University. Dr. Nasereddin is also the Secretary-General of Arab Universities Governance Council affiliated with the Association of Arab Universities, one of Joint Arab Cooperation’s organizations affiliated with the Arab League.
