The Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) program is a mobility scholarship program funded by the European Commission that enables the administrative staff to train at the European universities that are connected with The University of Jordan through Erasmus+ bilateral agreements. The scholarships cover a monthly allowance and a contribution to the travel cost. If not covered by other means, the administrative staff is, in general, responsible for insuring themselves during their stay at the host universities according to their terms.

The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
