The International Affairs Office (IAO) of Middle East University is the official administrative department pertaining to the development and execution of the University’s international policies that aim to globalize the role of higher education experience within the Hashemite Kingdom and have it permeate across all aspects of the University.
The IAO builds partnerships with premier academic institutions, governments, embassies, international organizations, and scholarship agencies around the world to enhance MEU’s global standing. The progress is driven by its new set of strategies which place international relations at the top of its priorities.
This office took root in January of 2014, and has since developed meaningful international engagements and Memorandums of Understanding with many peer institutions which led to collaborative advancements in education, research and technology; benefiting students, staff and stakeholders.
Our partners comprise of education leaders from all over the world, with whom we share international standards and best practices that strive towards fostering a diverse and balanced culture, one that is based on the cultivation of theoretical and practical based knowledge throughout the University.
Besides the Student Exchange Program (SEP), the IAO also works with MEU faculties on other overseas attachments, including, but not limited to International Summer Programs , International Internships, and International Research Programs.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
