AMMAN – Researcher and Faculty of Educational Sciences student Wafaa’ Saleh al-Rahahleh defended her Master’s thesis, titled [the employment of management information systems and their relationship to educational managements’ managerial control at the Ministry of Education], via Zoom.
The researcher investigated the employment of management information systems and how they relate to the level of managerial control practiced by the Ministry of Education’s educational managements. She adopted the associative descriptive method to achieve her objectives.
The researcher did not find any contrast in the employment of management information systems based on the set gender, academic qualification, and years of service variables. On the other hand, she arrived at a statistically significant contrast in the employment of management information systems based on the job title variable.
The researcher recommended holding extensive training courses for educational managements in order to promote their employment of the said systems, enable them of practicing managerial control, and encourage them of adopting these systems in accordance with clear regulations and laws. She also found it necessary to document their managerial control methods to benefit educational managements outside the Ministry.
The thesis assessment committee presiding over this project consisted of Prof. Ahmad Fathi Abu Kareem, as Ms. al-Rahahleh’s supervisor and head of the committee, Dr. Osama Hassouneh, as the MEU internal evaluator, and Prof. Mohammad al-Zboun from the University of Jordan as the external evaluator.
