Amman: The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Middle East University, Senator Dr. Yacoub Nasreeddin, in the presence of the university’s President, Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin, sponsored a free medical day organised by the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The Medical Day provided university students with access to high-quality pharmaceutical products and medical advice from skilled specialists, enhancing their awareness about various medical conditions and proactive preventive measures.
In this context, Senator Dr. Nasereddin clarified that this medical day coincides with a significant event, namely the National Day of the Jordanian Flag. This day commemorates the long struggle for a blessed land whose roots are deeply embedded in history. It is known for its honourable, Arab, and authentic identity, and its captivating details are now being lived and planned for a future worthy of its great sacrifices.
Dr. Amjad Abu Armileh, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, explained in a statement that the Medical Day represents opportunities for research collaboration, internships, and employment, as well as reliability that ensures that attendees receive safe and effective products. He further stated that the event contributes to shaping students’ understanding of the possibilities of their specialisation and profession and nurturing their passion for healthcare.
The supervisor of the Medical Day, Dr. Suha Abu Dawla, a faculty member, stated that the university’s commitment to the community is demonstrated by the organisation of such a medical day, which provides free health checks, consultations, and sessions that contribute to the well-being of the local community, especially those who may have limited access to health care resources.
It is of interest to note that the medical day attracted a number of companies, including Yan Industrial Trading Company, Mounir Sakhtian Group, MedLab Laboratory Consulting Group, Alpha Optics, Nasrallah Trading Agency, Trust Makers, Jerash Pharmaceutical Warehouse, Delas Natural Products, National Nutrition Centre, and the College of Allied Medical Sciences.
