Amman: In the presence of the Secretary of the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation, the Dean of Student Affairs at the University of Jordan, Prof. Safwan Al-Shiab, Dr. Ayman Al-Khazalehand, at Middle East University, the President of the University, Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin, crowned the teams participating in the Jordanian Universities Football Championship for Female Students.
The largest university tournament was organised by the Jordan Universities Sports Federation and involved 14 public and private universities competing in university stadiums built in accordance with FIFA standards and regulations.
The team from the University of Jordan won first place, followed by the University of Science and Technology in second, and the third in a row by Balqa Applied University and Hashemite University.
It is worth noting that the University of Jordan has inaugurated a professional football stadium, equivalent to a professional league stadium, with a length of 90 metres and a width of 45 metres.
The stadium joins other sports facilities that provide physical and mental stimulation for students to improve concentration, enhance academic performance, and build a mindset of perseverance, including gyms, fitness centres, indoor basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts.
