Amman: The Faculty of Pharmacy at Middle East University gave students of cosmetics and chemical manufacturing the opportunity to put their pharmaceutical knowledge into practice in the area of laboratory practices.
This is in line with their visit to the Pharmaceutical Research Centre at the University of Petra to learn about the standards that ensure the protection, efficacy, and safety of pharmaceutical products and to instill a culture of compliance with regulations, procedures, and standards.
Dr. Amjad Abu Armileh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, stated that the university recognises the importance of such visits as they enhance students’ laboratory skills and allow them to interpret experimental results firsthand, improving their ability to adapt, a critical attribute in the dynamic pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Nawzat Al Jabour, a faculty member, explained that the visit prepares students to deal with regulatory complexities and maintain industry standards in their professional practice.
The delegation of Middle East University was greeted by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Riad Awad, and the Director of the Pharmaceutical Research Centre, Prof. Nidal Al-Qena.
The visit also explored avenues for research collaboration between the two parties in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors.
