Amman: Middle East University has signed a collaborative agreement with Istishari Hospital, which will enable the students enrolled in the nursing programme to undertake their training after completing at least 120 hours of study.
This agreement serves to reinforce the university’s objective of equipping students with the requisite competencies to become proficient practitioners capable of delivering optimal care to their patients. This is achieved through a combination of classroom instruction and practical clinical experience.
The agreement was signed by the University’s President, Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Samira Al-Habashneh, and her assistant for field training, Dr. Hanan Al-Shamali, and the Hospital’s General Manager, Dr. Tariq Al-Louzi, in the presence of the Marketing and Public Relations Director, Mr. Tariq Jallad.
The objective of the agreement is to enhance the students’ abilities in clinical reasoning, problem solving, and the adaptation of treatment plans to the specific needs of each patient. This encompasses the assessment, treatment planning, and implementation phases.
It is worth mentioning that this agreement offers nursing students the opportunity to specialise in a particular area of practice. This will undoubtedly enhance their overall expertise and open doors to satisfying and impactful careers.
