Amman: A scientific field trip organised by the Faculty of Engineering at Middle East University provided students with the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with the Mayor of Giza, Mr. Qader Al-Fayez. The discussion centred on the roles, duties, and responsibilities of the municipality in urban planning, infrastructure development, and public services.
In fact, the visit constituted a practical training programme for the 30 students participating in the trip, during which they were able to gain insight into the quality of the municipality’s ongoing projects and engage in in-depth discussions with the municipality’s staff regarding the future of these projects and their potential benefits to the local community.
And in the presence of Dr. Al-Mutasem Darwish and Engineer Hadeel Al-Mahasneh, the students of the Environmental Impact Assessment and Building Materials Technology courses listened to a presentation by Mayor Al-Fayez. Mayor Al-Fayez offered the students a package of training opportunities that will allow them to apply their knowledge and develop their ideas.
It is worth noting that the municipality’s engineers expressed their gratitude for the students’ enthusiasm and engagement, noting their advanced levels of knowledge, which were evident during the discussion sessions.
