Amman: The Middle East University team was awarded first and third place in the FINTECH RALLY 2024 UNIVERSITY EDITION competition, which was launched by the Financial Technology Centre (FTC) at the Jordan Payment and Clearing Systems Company (JOPAC).
The five students who participated in the event were Anas Al-Sayed, Talar Al-Kassous, Ghaith Al-Balbisi, Mohammad Raed, and Mohammad Batrani. They demonstrated remarkable proficiency in the competition, which involved the participation of approximately 120 students organized into 24 teams representing 10 Jordanian universities.
In this regard, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Hisham Abu Sayma, stated that the advanced position of the students was not achieved without considerable effort. The university invests in its human capabilities by affording them academic and cognitive freedom and then integrating them into interactive training paths that situate them at the centre of an immersive experience that is highly sought-after.
The supervisors of the students, who are faculty members of the Faculty of Business and Information Technology, Dr. Jamila Mustafa and Dr. Doaa Mahyar, respectively, stated that the students’ performance is an evident indication of their profound commitment to facilitate the desired technological transformation, which is a core objective of the university’s curriculum, strategic plans, and collaborative initiatives with employers and industry professionals.
The competition represents the culmination of a series of freely accessible training programmes on the facilitation of fintech innovations and the provision of innovative solutions with a view to enhancing the services available on Qlik.
