The Faculty of Engineering and Design at Middle East University has signed a collaboration agreement with the Jordan Green Building Council (JGBC) to establish a systematic framework for joint cooperation in the fields of environment, water, and energy, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and enhancing resource efficiency.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Ayman Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Design, in the presence of Dr. Samer Asaad, Head of the Renewable Energy Engineering Department at the university, while Dr. Salim Abu Khader, Vice Chairman of the Jordan Green Building Council, signed the agreement.
The agreement included the exchange of technical and scientific expertise in the fields of environmental design and rationalisation of energy and water consumption, in addition to providing specialised training and educational services aimed at raising community awareness about energy efficiency.
The agreement also called for the participation of university students and their staff in the projects periodically implemented by the Council within the Green Platform, an interactive platform that includes discussions and competitions related to green buildings, recycling, and reducing the emission of harmful gases, which contributes to building competent professionals who are able to face environmental challenges.
