
A delegation headed by the Vice President of the Board of Directors at Middle East University, Dr. Ahmad Nasereddin, met with the Director of the Special Branch at the Public Security Directorate, Brigadier General Bilal Al-Awalmeh, in the presence of the Director of the Community Peace Centre, Lieutenant Colonel Omar Al-Khalayleh.
During the meeting, they discussed means of joint cooperation between the two parties, highlighting the vital role of the Directorate in the proactive prevention of risks, enhancing security awareness, and strengthening cooperation with academic institutions.
The delegation comprised the Vice President of the University, Prof. Ahmad Al-Louzi, and the Director of the Consultancy, Training, and Languages Centre, Prof. Anis Al-Mansour.
Dr. Nasereddin stressed the importance of building a strong and effective partnership with the Public Security, pointing out that the meeting comes within the university’s directions and implementation of its vision and objectives to consolidate relations with civil society and military institutions to raise the level of educational and scientific research outputs.
During the meeting, Dr. Nasereddin presented a magazine issued as a special issue on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday, which documents the most prominent achievements made over the past years between the university and the Special Branch Department and the Community Peace Centre at the General Security Directorate.
The magazine featured a series of joint events that contributed to consolidating security and spreading awareness in society and among university students, in recognition of the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
