Amman: The general assembly meeting of the Middle East University’s Faculty of Engineering addressed the new perspective of civil engineering, renewable energy engineering, and smart systems engineering as the cornerstones of modern society, at a time when they are seen as the backbone of infrastructure development, fostering climate change, and creating sustainable models of modern construction.
The accelerated pace of technological progress in the above-mentioned fields requires students to keep up with the latest tools and methodologies and to adapt to new software and simulation techniques, said Prof. Ayman Al Nsour, Dean of the Faculty.
With growing concerns about environmental sustainability and ethical considerations in engineering practices, students will be tasked with integrating these principles into their engineering designs and decision-making processes, with an accurate and deep understanding of social, economic, and environmental factors.
