University of Bedfordshire

The University of Bedfordshire (UOB) is the first British university in Jordan, with a heritage of more than 100 years in the UK. We are offering fully-hosted international programmes at all levels (undergraduate and postgraduate), in the fields of Business Administration, Information Technology, Media, and Graphic Design.

All degrees are issued from the University of Bedfordshire in the UK, approved by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and the Jordanian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions, and stamped by the British Council in Jordan.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Undergraduate programme:

To apply for a place in undergraduate courses (BA/BSc), you need to fulfill the below academic admission requirements

A- Grade 12- we require a minimum of 65% average or its equivalent of the secondary education certificate for international Programmes as follows:

  • (IGCSE/GCE) 2 A Level passes (minimum C and D)
  • The International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB), which is awarded at a minimum of 24 points- we would require the certificate and where possible the accompanying transcript.
  • The American High School Diploma (SAT 2): we require SAT scores of 1800 overall with a minimum of 600 in 2-3 subjects, eg. English 600/Math 650/ Science 550.

B- The University accepts one of the following qualifications as a fulfillment of the English Language requirements for admission to undergraduate Programmes as shown in the following table:

ELAS 5.5 Minimum 5 in each band

Master’s programme:

To apply for a place in postgraduate courses (MBA/MSc/MA), you need to fulfill the below academic admission requirements:

A- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2.2/4 GPA

B- The University accepts one of the following qualifications as a fulfillment of the English Language requirements for admission to undergraduate programmes as shown in the following table:

ELAS 5.5 Minimum 5 in each band

(the exam will be held at MEU

*The student will be exempted from the English Language requirements if he/she provides proof that his/her Bachelor’s studies were in English

PhD programme:

To apply for a place in the PhD programme, you need to fulfill the below academic admission requirements:

A-Master’s Degree.

B- PhD proposal

C- Successfully pass the Skype interview with the University of Bedfordshire.

D- The University accepts one of the following qualifications as a fulfillment of the English Language requirements for admission to undergraduate programmes as shown in the following table:

  • Photocopies of your accredited official academic
  • qualifications and transcripts in English.
  • Photocopy of one of the English Language
  • requirements as listed in the table.
  • One-page personal statement detailing why you
  • want to study your chosen course at the University
  • of Bedfordshire and how it will benefit your future
  • career plans.
  • Photocopy of your current passport’s photo page.
  • 2 Personal photograph.
  • Recommendation letter (work or school).
  • 100 JOD application fees receipt.

If your application is successful and you provide us with all of your required documents, we will let you know within 10 business days.

Once your receive your offer, you should come to our campus to sign it and make your first payment.

To ensure a successful start, arrive in time for your induction. Before you start, we will make sure that you are prepared and know what to expect during your first days on campus.

FEES AND FINANCE

TUITION FEES

The University of Bedfordshire is ranked as the second most affordable UK University for international students studying at undergraduate level, and the third at postgraduate level.

We have a specific fee structure for our students depending on the level of study:

  • Undergraduate Studies = 4,000 JOD/Semester
  • Postgraduate Studies (Total) = 15,000 JOD
  • PhD Studies = 12,000 JOD/Year
