Amman: The visual artist and faculty member of the Faculty of Architecture and Design at the Middle East University, Dr. Ansaf Al-Rabadhi, presented the Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, Senator Dr. Yacoub Naser Al-Din, with a painting that depicts Gaza by resembling Picasso’s famous painting “Guernica,” which she called “Guernica Gaza.”
In this context, Senator Dr. Naser Al-Din expressed his admiration for the messages conveyed by the painting, which refer to wasted rights, lost lives, exposed bodies, denied justice, and executed fate.
He emphasised that the Middle East University is an educational institution that is also fully concerned with public affairs and regional interests. The painting’s messages reflect the university’s commitment to supporting the speech of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who stressed the importance of ending the suffering of the people in Gaza. This issue is of great significance due to the current circumstances of ongoing annihilation, heightened international tensions, and selective actions that have resulted in violence, bloodshed, and escalated conflicts in the region.
