
The Board of Trustees of Middle East University has appointed Dr. Ramez Abu Hasira as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Media, reflecting the recognition of his academic competence and his scientific and professional career full of achievements.
Dr. Abu Hasira, an assistant professor of media, is a prominent academic figure, having obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in radio and television from Yarmouk University and then obtained his PhD with first-class honours (excellence) from Cairo University for his thesis entitled “The Credibility of Television Channels as Measured by the Viewer’s Perception: “The Credibility of Television Channels as measured by the viewer’s perception: “The credibility of television channels as perceived by the communicator, the Elite and the Audience in Jordan”.
Since joining the Faculty of Media at the Middle East University in 2021, Dr. Abu Hasira has held multiple academic positions, as he assumed the chairmanship of the Department of Journalism and Media in 2023, then became vice dean in 2024, until the decision was made appointing him as dean of the faculty in 2025.
Dr. Abu-Hasira was also a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Graduate Studies – Master of Film and Television Department at An-Najah National University, adding to his academic credentials in teaching and research supervision.
