Bachelor of Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering is the oldest branch of engineering. It is based on a combination of creative and technical skills, where engineers work on planning, building, constructing, managing, and operating services and infrastructures that are basic for modern life. Such services include water supply and treatment; constructing drainage systems, pipelines, pumping stations, refineries, and treatment plants; designing and executing diverse types of transport lines, roads, bridges, railways, and airports; soil engineering; foundation engineering; tunnels; submerged structures; reinforced concrete and steel structures; building materials; surveying engineering; management and construction. Civil engineering is considered a solution for urban problems, since it deals with the challenges of pollution, traffic, drinking water, energy needs, and city planning and construction.
