AMMAN- MEU and the Judicial Institute of Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to enhance the cooperation between the two sides. The MoU, signed by MEU’s Vice-President Prof Mahmoud Al-Wadi and the Chief Islamic Justice Sheikh Abdul Karim Khasawneh as the representative of the Institute, was attended by MEU’s Chancellor Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, Dean of the Faculty of Law Dr. Ahmad Allawzi, Head of MEU’s Human Rights Center and a number of senior officials from the two sides.
Under the MoU, workshops and seminars will be held and joint diplomas specialized in family rehabilitation will be established. The two sides also agreed on providing initiatives and consultations of various types to several institutions in order to serve the local community.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
