AMMAN- MEU has participated in a workshop for Arabic for Non-Native Speakers that was held at the University of Petra in participation of a number of experts and specialized individuals in this field. The two-day workshop has addressed issues related to modern methods in teaching the program and ways to integrate modern technology in teaching. It also tackled the methods of integrating the culture in the learning process by incorporating students with the community.
Dr. Jumana Al Saleem, Acting Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and Mustafa Unayzat, a Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, have represented the University in this workshop.
The Middle East University was founded in 2005 as a Graduate Studies University with twelve specializations. Towards the beginning of the academic year 2008-2009 the university opened twenty specializations for both Graduate and Undergraduate students with the ongoing growth in staff and students.
