The cooperation between MEU and the Community Peace Center at the Public Security Directorate (PSD) continuous with four weeks of workshops and seminars that discuss the media aspect of combating extremist thought, delivered by Dr. Salim Sharif, Acting Dean of Students’ Affairs.
These workshops aim to educate about protecting the society against the risks and effects of extremist thought and to disseminate moderate thought through media institutions, with the aim of changing extremist conduct and rehabilitee those follow it. They also aim to help create a healthy media environment that refuses all forms of discrimination. MEU seeks to maintain a thriving relationship with the PSD that extends to both its personnel and to the local community.
