The Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities accredited Middle East University as a Premier University after undergoing an assessment of five areas of operations including Premises Health and Safety, Management and Staff Resources, Quality Assurance and Enhancement, Student Welfare and Marketing and Student Recruitment.
ASIC accepted and approved MEU’s application after conducting several visits to its campus to ensure the university’s fulfilment of the set criteria and requirements.
The University President, Prof. Ala’aldeen al-Halhouli, congratulated MEU’s faculty, staff and students on this achievement. He stated that the rapid development MEU has been witnessing promotes our responsibility towards ensuring the best possible experience for our students and advancing our global reputation.
Prof. al-Halhouli urged the university’s academic units to work on meeting the requirements of further international accreditations that are bound to enhance the quality of education the university offers.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Saleem Sharif, said that MEU students have become well-aware of the university’s ability to obtain such accreditations and of its glowing global reputation. He added that the university, with the efforts of its faculty and staff, will continue on the path of excellence and eminence.
ASIC is a member of the British Quality Foundation and is a member of the CHEA International Quality Group in the USA. ASIC is also an affiliate member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, and an institutional member of EDEN: European Distance and E-Learning Network.
