The Deanship of International Programs, in cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy at MEU, organized an introductory event for students newly enrolled in the British Joint Pharmacy Program (Mpharm 3 + 2) during the current semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Ammar Al-Maaytah, emphasized, during the introductory lecture of the event, that the program supports the aspirations of MEU’s students toward globalization, refining their skills and keeping pace with scientific and research developments in the fields of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.
He pointed out the importance of this program and its impact on developing the skills of the pharmaceutical workforce, qualifying them, and preparing them to work in the local and global markets.
It is worth to mention that the 3 + 2 joint program in pharmacy between MEU and the University of Strathclyde, which was launched in 2019, is the first of its kind in the region. It is the fruit of the projects announced at the London Initiative to Support the Jordanian Economy Conference “Jordan – Growth and Opportunity 2019”, including the higher education sector.
