Amman: In the fourth edition of the Museum of Emotions competition, Middle East University was ranked first among private universities and third among all Jordanian universities. This places the university among those institutions that inspire through their architectural design.
The students from the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Middle East University were commended by the competition participants for their presentation of architectural projects that elicit emotional responses, convey emotional experiences, and examine the human interior.
The participating students were Mohammed Mousa, Ahmed Al-Khraishi, H.E. Aldagar, Asala Suleiman, Dina Al-Nazer, Yasmine Al-Nazer, Razan Abu Al-Sabaa, Rola Al-Najjar, Ghada Abu Abouabed, Esraa Nassar, Omar Al-Janazra, Alaa Al-Zaher, and Lajin Noor.
The students’ projects, which were supervised by Dr. Mohammed Al-Sayed Ahmed and inspired by the situation in Gaza, demonstrated the capacity of architecture to influence and direct emotions, in addition to embodying design spaces that chronicle a meaningful intellectual and symbolic message.
