Dr. Maha Al-Sheikh, a faculty member at the Faculty of Business, participated in the workshop ‘Reinventing Global Supply Chains’ and shared MEU’s knowledge in the field of global supply chains.
The European Jordanian Business Development Institute (EJBDI), the training arm of the Amman Chamber of Industry, organised a workshop attended by over 50 food industry companies. The workshop was delivered by experts specialising in strategic sourcing, efficient logistics, flexible financing, and risk management.
Dr. Al Sheikh highlighted the challenges faced by the food supply chain, including perishability, seasonality, demand volatility, regulatory requirements, and increasingly volatile global markets, emphasizing the need to optimize supply chain operations in the food sector. Strategies to enhance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability should be explored.
