The university recently hosted Dr. Judy Chun, the director of the Centre for Practical Training and Global Networking at the Rawabet Foundation for Educational and Academic Exchange, with the objective of exploring avenues for academic collaboration between Middle East University and Brigham Young University, a highly regarded academic institution with a history spanning over two centuries.
During the meeting, which convened Dr. Chun and the team from the International Programs Centre at the university, the two parties explored prospects for developing academic exchange opportunities between the two universities and identified aspects of cooperation in the academic and training fields to serve the needs of students at the university.
The primary emphasis was directed towards the establishment of collaborative initiatives that aim to enhance the educational experience of students, particularly those enrolled in business administration programs. These initiatives seek to integrate international academic experiences with contemporary educational methodologies, thereby fostering the development of students’ skills and broadening their professional horizons.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the role of Brigham Young University in facilitating networking opportunities for students with international companies and entities. This aspect is considered to be a pivotal component of the British programme hosted at Middle East University.
The university, as always, aims to furnish its students with genuine exposure to global markets, thereby enhancing their readiness for the evolving labour market requirements and introducing a global dimension to their educational experience.
The meeting also addressed the potential for hosting students from Brigham Young University at Middle East University in the future, particularly in view of the recent interest on the part of Middle East University in developing programs focused on Arabic language study and on strengthening academic and cultural relations with academic institutions in the region.
