The Consultancy, Training, and Languages Centre at Middle East University, in cooperation with the Royal Police Academy at the Public Security Directorate, conducted a specialised workshop entitled ‘Occupational Health and Safety for Laboratory Supervisors.’ The objective of this initiative was to enhance awareness and provide the necessary training in the field of occupational safety for specialists and workers in laboratories.
The workshop addressed a number of key topics that contribute to raising the level of awareness of the participants and providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain their safety while performing their duties.
Furthermore, a section of the workshop was dedicated to the definition of potentially harmful materials and the most effective methods of their management. Also, the workshop emphasised the importance of implementing preventive measures when handling such materials to minimise the risk of injury or health consequences to workers.
