Amman: The Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Middle East University, Dr. Ahmed Nasreddin, and the President of the University, Prof. Salam Al-Mahadin, honoured the head and personnel of the Security and Safety Department of the Engineering and Services Department in recognition of their achievements in ensuring the safety and well-being of the university community within the university.
The event was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ayman Al-Khazailah, and a number of university officials.
In this context, Dr. Ahmed Nasereddin stated that the university’s security personnel serve as ambassadors of trust and reassurance.
“We are grateful for your dedication to performing your duties, which is not surprising given your impressive security expertise, especially given your military backgrounds and previous experience in various security agencies,” said Dr. Ahmad Nasereddin.
He further pointed out that the Board of Directors was committed to creating an infrastructure reinforced with technological means that increase security levels, especially smart electronic gates, and covering the entire campus with smart cameras, electronic gates, and security equipment that mimic the development in this field.
Prof. Al-Mahadin stated that this recognition not only demonstrates our gratitude but also serves to confirm our collective commitment to creating a safe environment in which university affiliates and visitors feel comfortable and reassured.
In his view, Dr. Al-Khazailah believes that the importance of university security cannot be overstated in shaping the reputation of the university in academic circles and the community system. He added that it is the foundation on which our academic mission is based and that it requires a collective effort from every member of our community.
In a related context, the Head of the Security and Safety Department, Alaa Al-Din Al-Miqdad, highlighted the importance of adhering to the university’s policies, laws, and regulations. He emphasised the need for a proactive approach that ensures the institution’s members and visitors feel safe and secure and that there is continuous cooperation with the security services.
