Amman: Middle East University officially launched its employment platform during the 9th Career Day, inaugurated by Senator Dr. Yaqoub Nasereddin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, with the participation of 65 companies and institutions, which facilitated meetings and interviews between students and representatives from various career paths. These interactions provided students with insights into potential career opportunities and allowed them to explore avenues that align with their academic pursuits.
In this context, Dr. Nasereddin emphasised the significance of providing students with the employment opportunities they deserve, given the limitations of traditional education in meeting the demands of the modern world. He further highlighted that the university is fully cognizant of its obligations towards its students and affiliates and that it is imperative to invest in their intellectual development in order to foster the knowledge and skills required to achieve the desired outcomes.
In the presence of the Vice President of the University, Prof. Ahmad Allouzi, deans of faculties, and representatives of participating institutions, he outlined the purpose of this event, which falls within the scope of our joint methodology for developing a robust research and academic system aligned with our visions. The initiative was inspired by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, may God protect him, and sponsored by His Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah, which aims to enhance the capacity of our human resources to engage with the modern scientific renaissance.
In his address, the Dean of Student Affairs highlighted the significance of this event, which coincided with the launch of the Middle East University’s employment platform. This initiative is designed to facilitate the development of training and career pathways between employers and university graduates.
Furthermore, he added that the success of educational and academic institutions is measured by the extent to which their graduates have access to employment opportunities. This encouraged the university, which has succeeded in building an integrated knowledge network, to invest in the intellectual structure of its students.
