The Faculty of Media at Middle East University is organising its second scientific conference entitled “Scientific Journalism between Reality and Leading Change,” which coincides with the celebration of World Press Freedom Day, which falls on May 3, 2025.
The conference attracts a number of prominent scientific and media figures, including researchers, academics, specialised media professionals, local, regional, and international newsroom managers, as well as technicians and technical experts from various universities and academic institutes of international reputation.
As a matter of fact, the conference seeks to explore the current state of science journalism in the Arab world and analyse the pivotal role it plays in shaping societal awareness. Additionally, the conference aims to provide practical and implementable solutions to overcome the current challenges through workshops and panel discussions.
It will also seek to develop a roadmap that enhances the ability of science journalism to influence society, from empowering specialised media professionals to providing modern media platforms that take advantage of advanced digital tools.
