Amman: The Deanship of Student Affairs at Middle East University implemented a series of religious and educational programs at the Al-Hadban Centre for Special Needs, which were designed to enhance the abilities of memorization, concentration, and listening.
The initiative, which was organized by the Guidance and Psychological Services Office and delivered by the “Athar” voluntary team of students, demonstrated the university’s dedication to the principles of optimal and exemplary education for all classes of society, especially the university’s facilities for people with special needs, which include the library, which features an integrated wheelchair-accessible staircase, as well as tactile corridors and pathways that employ Braille technology for the blind. Additionally, the university’s entire campus is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
In this context, the psychological counsellor, Aseel Zureiqat, stated that this visit enhanced the cognitive processing of the members of the centre through interactive teaching methods that fulfilled their desires to be an active part of society.
Furthermore, she indicated that the visit programmes included a number of activities that explored the role of the Holy Quran in achieving spiritual fulfilment and encouraging contemplative thinking.
