Amman: Middle East University provided a comprehensive set of office and classroom furnishings to the Abdullah bin Umm Maktoum Association for the Blind and Orphans, underscoring the significance of community service and its role in guaranteeing equitable access to educational resources for all societal groups, without distinction.
In this context, Dr. Nizar Hamdan, Chairman of the Association’s governing body and its founder, expressed the view that the university’s donation represents a symbol of its exemplary contributions in addressing the needs of the local community. He further observed that society and Jordan require academic institutions that are fully aware of their active, influential, essential, and sustainable roles, as symbolised by Middle East universitiy.
In this respect, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Mahmoud Al-Dweiri, in the presence of the university delegation, asserted that the university regards community service as a comprehensive approach that demonstrates the institution’s commitment to preparing for the future. This future, however, will not be what we aspire to and hope for unless everyone is involved in its construction. Furthermore, the university is committed to ensuring the participation of individuals with special needs in all sectors.
