The Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences at Middle East University has signed a second strategic partnership agreement with LINGUATIVE, a translation and conference management company.
Speaking on behalf of the university, the agreement was signed by the dean of the faculty, Dr. Ayat Al-Maghrabi, while the company’s general manager, Alaa Munif Hamad Abu Sharif, signed the agreement.
The agreement aims to provide an integrated training environment for students of the specialisation, extending over the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025, where each student is obliged to complete 180 hours of training, implemented under the direct supervision of the department’s field training supervisors.
The training program covers a wide range of translation fields, including interpreting, legal, technical, artistic, and developmental.
Moreover, the agreement gives students who demonstrate excellence during the training period the opportunity to be hired by the company, according to its needs and work requirements.
It is worth mentioning that the previous agreement signed between the university and the company yielded fruitful results and achieved its desired goals, as it contributed to refining students’ practical skills and linking them directly to the labour market, which was an incentive for both parties to renew this agreement.
