Amman: Middle East University (MEU) provided its students with the opportunity to interact with legal and security experts from the Family and Juvenile Protection Department of the Public Security Directorate to gain first-hand knowledge of the aspects involved in dealing with domestic violence cases, including the legal, psychological, and social dimensions.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ayman Al-Khazaleh, stated that visits like these help to dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding domestic violence, promoting a more informed and wise perspective among students.
It enables students to understand the range of services available to victims of domestic violence, including crisis intervention, counselling, legal advocacy, and shelter.
