Amman: Middle East University has joined the Social Security Foundation in launching its university scholarship platform, in accordance with its strategy to foster pathways of community solidarity that facilitate equitable access to optimal university education. This is particularly evident in its commitment to community service, which entails standing alongside various community institutions and supporting them in making a qualitative leap in the concept of community solidarity and institutional synergy.
The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Yacoub Nasereddin, and the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Hisham Abu Saima, represented the institution at the event. They highlighted the significance of the occasion, stating that it presented an invaluable opportunity to develop an effective strategy that would address the diverse needs and aspirations of the community. They further emphasised that the platform represented the collective efforts of Middle East University to contribute to the common good and to work towards a more just, equitable, and inclusive world.
The platform was launched in collaboration with private Jordanian universities and university colleges, with scholarships for the children of retirees. These scholarships will be awarded following the announcement of high school results this summer. The selection process will be transparent and fair, based on objective and impartial criteria.
