Short bio: PhD in “Theoretical and Experimental Investigation on Snubber Circuit for High Voltage Valves of FACTS-Equipment’s for Over-voltage Protection”, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany (2007).

M.Sc. Using the computer to measure the protection zone of the Impulse rod (Early-Streamer-Leader Emission), Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Damascus-University, Damascus, Syria (2001). A Diploma Degree (Dip.) in Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Damascus-University, Damascus, Syria (1996). B.Sc. in Electric power engineering from Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, (Syria) in 1994.

His main interest is high voltage, FCTAS system, and power electronic.  He has published many papers in high voltage and FACTS technologies. He is supervisor of M.Sc.- and Co-supervisor of PhD- students at Damascus University.
