Students from schools in the district of Al-Giza had the opportunity to experience the studios of the Faculty of Media with the advanced radio and television equipment provided by the university, believing in the importance of students as a source of the community’s right to express itself, communicate its aspirations, and defend its issues.
The workshops, held in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, introduced students to the essence of journalism and its vital role in bringing about change and awakening conscience through practical experiences, said Dr. Saddam Al-Mashaqbeh, director of the university’s Media Training Centre.
He added that the students were close to future journalists who aspire to use journalism for community empowerment, building critical awareness of the nation’s issues by forming knowledge-generating communities.
