The students of the Faculty of Media at Middle East University participated in a series of dialogue sessions that addressed the role of the media in combating hate speech as part of events organised by the “Media Without Hate” initiative.
This involvement is part of a broader initiative by the Faculty of Media to cultivate media awareness among its student body and enhance their capacity to critically analyse and interpret media discourse. The objective is to contribute to the development of a more informed and inclusive society, one that is less influenced by hatred and incitement.
Abdulrahman Al-Asha, president of the Media Club, stated that students contributed actively to the preparation and presentation of analytical presentations that reviewed vivid examples of local and international public opinion issues, explaining the significant negative impact that misleading news has had in fomenting these issues.
