The Faculty of Information Technology at Middle East University organised a comprehensive introductory meeting, during which it reviewed its distinguished educational methodology and academic achievements, especially its ABET accreditation, which is an international standard for the quality of academic programmes in the fields of engineering and technology, which establishes its position as a highly competitive educational institution in the technology sector.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the faculty, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Atir, and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nsour, along with members of the faculty and administrative staff and new students.
In his speech, Dr. Atir said that this meeting is an essential milestone in the academic career of students, as it aims to provide them with accurate information and strategic guidance that will help them clearly chart their scientific and professional path, stressing the importance of continuous interaction with academic advisors and active engagement in a dynamic learning environment characterised by rapid technological development, which contributes to enhancing their ability to keep pace with developments in the labour market.
According to Dr. Al-Nsour, the university not only provides academic education with international standards but also works to build the student’s integrated personality through an integrated support system that includes academic advising programmes, extracurricular activities, practical training, and community service, as these elements are a key pillar in developing personal and professional skills and enhancing the readiness of graduates for the requirements of the competitive labour market.
