Amman: The Middle East Journal of Communication Studies has been listed and indexed in the EBSCO database, joining a select group of journals that aim to advance knowledge and ensure open access to high-quality, rigorous research.
As an illustration, the journal is a scientific, peer-reviewed publication published biannually in both paper and electronic formats by the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the university. It comprises two issues per year, with three volumes for the years 2021, 2022, and 2023.
In this context, the Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Mousa, stated that the inclusion of the university’s journal in EBSCO databases is of great importance in order to facilitate open access to knowledge and accessibility, to enhance citation rates and academic impact, and to guarantee quality through standardised peer-review processes.
The journal’s published research focuses on communication sciences around the world, especially in the Arab region, as the journal specialises in cultural studies in the field of media and communication sciences in its various branches and fields.
Moreover, the journal is particularly interested in theoretical and applied approaches and frameworks in media and various forms of human communication, including philosophical, discourse, semiotic, linguistic, sociological, anthropological, ethnographic, and other theoretical and applied approaches and frameworks.
