MEU Faculty of Media held a training workshop, with the participation of faculty members and students of the Faculties of Media and Law, during which the laws of penal liability for the programs of radio and television stations, recorded, produced, or reproduced by them, were discussed.
The workshop, which comes on the sideline of the Third International Conference on Strategic Awareness and Governance, was presented by Legal Expert and Lawyer. Muhammad Qteishat, where he defined what radio and television stations are, and the legal basis for their liability in accordance with the provisions of the law, indicating the importance of work ethics in stations as a cornerstone for modeling their tasks in accordance with the ABCs of the highest press.
In her turn, the Dean of the Faculty of Media, Dr. Hanan Al-Sheikh, reported that the University is studying the creation of a master’s program concerned with media legislations, stressing the need for a program that restores and refines abuses that may occur as a result of unawareness of legislations, which must be viewed as a stimulus through which journalistic experiences of media practioners can be refined and supported.
